I think it's the guy at the body shop that doesn't know much about my car, but it's the dealer who's doing the mechanical work on Pimpy.
It sounds like they got a hold of a "JDM" spec engine, with higher compression.
The most important factor is minimum octane rating. Depends on what that number is, and what fuel is available in your area
