So you're only 20% through Arcade then? Bummer.

I had fun playing with different cars.

I tried again. Same result - led the entire first lap and got punted at the end of the long straight. Very frustrating.

I was playing the Corvette challenge... it's brutal. I have a 778 HP C6 which can barely keep traction; trying to race an 800 HP Lingenfelter 427. There's nothing I can add to help the downforce/traction issues, either.

I think this is impossible.

Raced B1 class Mustang Cobra R. 4 other Rs, 3 Bentleys. The 2nd mustang lost control in the first straight and only 1 bentley made it through; he and I were a good 20 seconds ahead of the other 6 cars. I outraced the bentley the whole first lap, then got smoked in the long straight and somehow the other mustangs had all caught up (even though I ran a great first lap). I got absolutely hosed on the 2nd lap and ended up 4th, despite 2 laps that are about as fast as that POS can go. x 1000000000000

Did win the corvette challenge and got a lingenfelter vette for it.

A bit over 30% done with career mode.

I'm really kicking myself for picking Europe as a home region. I figured I'd be racing with a lot of BMWs and Porsches; I was at least half right. Half of my sponsors are for European cars only, which you rarely need to mod (and can't mod for a lot of the series). Stupid. I don't even see the point in it.

To add to that... a lot of the Japanese cars have body kits that really help downforce/drag if you mod them, but none of the American and Euro cars do. Stupid home region.

I figured North America would be the least biased.

That's the last arcade race I was referring to.

The corvette challenge was a career series.

I raced the C championship with an Evo. Won the first 5 races, went into the 6th race (Road America, 2 laps) with an insurmountable lead. I got tagged in the first corner and ended up 6th, but I didn't think it was a big deal... turns out that to get the car (a Ferrari 246) you have to get first in all 6 races. So now I have to rerace the other 5 to reopen the last race.
