I'd have been driving Guinness in the rain today (probably topless) if she hadn't been at the shop getting her new clutch.

Oh, BTW, I actually wasn't thinking of you MoeToe. I wasn't even specifically thinking of S owners. I just don't understand drivers that are petrified of bad weather. I mean, I get being cautious and not wanting to push your limits in adverse conditions...that's just smart. I'm talking about the people that blast down the freeway at 90mph and then the moment the black clouds rear their heads those same people slow down to 30mph or some other equally ridiculous speed.

Sorry, just my "wintertime is here" rant...

<--cautious in the rain. don't know about slowing down to 30mph, but would rather keep the S in the garage and drive his civic around and not have to worry about the weather.

anyway, this will all change when i go down to 1 car next year.

Those aren't exactly rain tires. Not even all-season.

I spent the summer daily driving on some old Yokohama R compounds...even when it rained. No big deal...

There are, believe it or not, R-compound rain tires.

Yoko A008RSII's. Normal driving...aka 70mph or so on the freeway and roughly the speed limit on the side streets. It's not all that hard to handle a car in the rain unless you're at the absolute limits...or a bad driver...

Well, I'd like to think I'm not a bad driver, but 70mph on those A048-LTS tires and I'll be skating all over the place. I'm talking about RAIN as in 10in in a few hours. None of that drizzling crap. Not to mention my 14k/18k springs.

But either way, I just don't like driving the S2000 or the Camaro in the rain. With my Bonneville, I wouldn't think twice. Not gonna risk it in my babies, though.
