geek (gēk)
n. Slang.
1.
A. A person regarded as foolish, inept, or clumsy.
B. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept.
2. A carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken.
I think 1A clearly suits me.

You're a sodomite if you've done it once... you don't have to do it again.

Charlie's a low level driver programmer, so he probably knows some things we don't. Like perhaps the XP kernel is much stabler (I won't be surprised if this really is the case, but on my home machine, W2K is IMO, adequate).
I know that at my last job, we had a couple of web/app servers running W2K Advanced Server that needed to be rebooted every 6 months at the very longest (closer to 2-3 months most of the time). When we upgraded to W2K3, the servers actually kept running for more than a year straight, and showed no signs of being less stable.

It's the people that code programs that cause glitches.
