I can imagine..

It actually works really well if you have a flat network and all the computers are Macs....just not typical in the working world.

No doubt, Jack. No doubt. Mom likely experienced a plug n play hang due to some sloppy drivers for some device she was using. Reboots are a pretty rare necessity these days though with most of the microsoft drivers that have run through their hardware qualification lab.
