Fear not, George. I truly believe the American public is FINALLY getting hip to his utter and in fact dangerous incompetence.

Witness the Republican lawmakers distancing themselves from him. Apparently their constituents are starting to come down hard on elected these "representatives" about this war-without-exit-plan, so they are getting some space between their lips and Dubya's a**.

Would you care to back up your informed retort with some facts???

Are you not aware of the massive loop-holes, write offs, and out and out hiding of assets and profits that the top 1% have at their disposal?? Are you REALLY that much in the dark politically and socio-economically????? Don't feel alone if you are: many of Dubya's supporters are too. And the ones that do know still do not seem to give a damn about what is REALLY going on in this country.

Well, they do pay more taxes... of course when you make $1,000,000 a year, paying $400,000 in taxes must really be tough.

A tax cut is not a tax cut if you don't reduce spending by the same amount. We are only putting off our nation's bills and pledging the interest to China and others. That's not the way I run my personal finances and I don't approve of such recklessness with our national treasury.

Please let me know if I am reading these tables wrong:

http://www.irs.gov/taxstats/indtaxstats/ar...=133414,00.html

While it is true that the majority of income tax is paid by the middle income, the wealthy still pay more per return. This would make sense considering there were 36M returns for adjusted gross incomes between $50K and $200K. There wee only 500K returns of adjusted gross incomes of over $500K.

Income Range - Number of Returns - Total Tax Liability
$50K-$200K - 36M - $390B
$500K+ - 500K - $200B

If the wealthiest are paying so little in income taxes, why do they need tax breaks and why would tax breaks affect the amount of tax they are paying? (If they are already paying next to nothing?)
