one of the eng. that worked for me at Buell ran a 1200cc sprint in Wisconsin. Those things haul butt!

That's what my buddy ran. He had a spare rolling chassis and said it was mine if I bought myself a motor. I ended up moving here ( ) so that fell through.

The fast guys ran Gixxer 1000cc motors, overbored 2-3 mm.

Damnit - what's the name of the track just outside of Kenosha?

yeah, I can make big power out of a Gixxer with a bore kit - we figured close to 170 hp - our 750 superbike motor was 145 on the dyno

The ZX12 motors had about 155. An unmolested Gixxer 1000 was around 150 and overbored they were around 165-170.

What's cool is the 600CC were actually faster... they weighed a lot less and could easily pick the front wheels up out of turns, like the V8s do.
