Nope, the franchise shouldn't baby him...but maybe they should have been a bit more careful about plucking a kid who was so young and putting him in a situation where this sort of thing is far from abnormal.
As for 3 titles...last I checked basketball was a team sport. Kobe might have been PART of that, but he's not the reason they have 3 titles...but they are the reason HE does.
Still, at the end of the day, I don't like the Lakers. Not because I like some other team more, I just don't really respect them as a team. Sure, they have some talented players, but they just come across as a bunch of arrogant brats.

1. then stop crying about people making money...
2. spurs has a solid team...they lost
3. Lakers are an impressive team..they have set so many standards as a team and just to say they are not cause you don't like them means 1. you are either jealous that they won so many titles, 2. you are just saying that to be different.
Respect the Gold and Purple because we will always be in the playoffs

1. Not crying...simply stating that he's FAR overpaid for what he does. Not much I can do about it other than not support the NBA...so I don't. 
2. What can I say, the Lakers have been successful, but I still contend that they are a bad team. Good individuals...bad team.
3. Again with the jealousy? C'mon, you've gotta be smart enough to come up with a better argument than that. They are impressive individuals who are employed by a team with an impressive record, but they are not an impressive team. I grew up playing a team sport (soccer), so I understand the distinction between a good team and good players. Kobe is an undeniably good player...but the Lakers aren't NEARLY as good a team.
You can ALWAYS buy your way into the playoffs...
