exactly...
funny thing was...i hit driver.... left the 3 wood short..then played a bad wedge that landed further from the hole that i would have wanted. hit a putt... my friend shouts, "WAY too hard"... then it started to slow up, and rolled straight in..
"Too hard nothing beeeyatch~~" was my response...
we laughed.
then i teed off the next hole and topped the drive and nearly missed passing the red tees.

 

Sounds like your game is pretty similar to mine... except i have no luck so those putts never went in. I think I had 2 or 3 birdies in the 7-8 years I played.

 

shot 42 on friday
then sunday.. 46-44
would like to be shooting mid-high 80's by the end of the summer again.
was there 5 years ago...then it all went away

 

Tell me about it. My game was stead mid-high 40s for 3 or 4 years... in 3 or 4 weeks it went to 60s/70s. Haven't played since.

 

ah... i took 3~4 year hiatus from golf... just now getting back into it.

 

Haven't touched my clubs for two years but I am the opposite of most golfers. I don't carry any woods carry 1-sw Callaways with a couple of other wedges and couple of putters.

 

I have a hard enough time with 3 iron....
