FWIW I've never paid for a golf ball... living adjacent to a golf course had its perks

Nicklaus AirBear Woods
Driver ("Grizzly") 10.5 (I rarely hit this so it is brand spanking new still
)
Strong 3 ("Bear") 14.5
Reg 5 ("Bruin")
Nicklaus N1 Irons 3-pw graphite, steel shaft SW
Off brand 60* wedge (I don't really use
)
Slotline putter ("Cub")
Golf Balls: usually TopFlite or Nike

It's bad luck to use a golfball you find or scavange out of the water.

My mom's old house was next to the tee box for #2 of the local municipal course. My brother and I retrieved balls from the lake along 7, 8, and 9, as well as the ponds/streams near 3, 4 and 5. Very few people could drive the stream that crossed 1 (who puts a stream at 285 yards on a city course?) and 2 was an easy clear (180 from the white tee), 6 was a dry par 3. The back 9 had very little water in play (lots of trees though
). We'd sell anything we could match 6 or 12 of (we used old egg cartons) by #2; everything else we used to play. The balls we retrieved when I was 10-13 lasted me until I quit.

That could explain why my life has generally sucked.
