And that would be 2 sports you suck at.

But everyone sucks at golf... and tennis went out with the '70s.

Oversized has gotten ridiculous.
I tried a 460cc driver last year when I was thinking about golfing again. I felt like a special-ed golf student. Sure, I could kill the ball, but it just didn't feel right. I used a 360 or 390cc (somewhere in that range) and lost maybe 10 yards of distance, without feeling like an assclown swinging the 460.

I remember years ago when I bought my Callaway Great Big Bertha adn it seemed huge at the time. Now, it seems like fairway woods are larger than my driver.

I've tried hitting a 460cc-I think I actually lost yards compared to what I hit my Callaway.

My last set up clubs were a cheap Callaway knockoff. The driver was a Big Bertha knockoff. Plenty big.

Actually, one of the lessons I learned fairly early... Distance isn't really important for an average player. I used to play 2-3 times a week during the summer ($3 for 9 holes!) and always ended up playing with old retired guys. One time, I played with 3 old guys, who were great fun. I outdrove them by a healthy 50 yards every time. But they always drove right in the middle of the fairway, never played a rough or sand shot, and almost always were on the green in regulation. I spent a lot of time making saves.

I played with 3 little old ladies a few years ago. They never drove more than 150-175 at the most--but they were deadly around the green.
