The ? is James are you going to stay on that diet for the rest of your life. Once you lose your weight and go off the diet you will start putting weight on again.

That's not true ......

I intend to use this diet to lose the weight, and then just convert onto a more healthy diet and increased exercise once I have the weight off .....

I have a friend who has done this successfully .... it is like any diet, if you just go back to your previous ways you will put the weight back on .....

by the way. You don't stop the atkins once you have the weight off. after a couple months it actually changes into quite a well balanced diet
