But I am going to miss the snow this year

I really enjoyed being in Japan where we could go away skiing at the weekends and play in the snow

How far do you have to go to find decent skiing?

China doesn't offer too much in the way of decent ski resorts, so you would need to go to Japan or Korea from here for decent skiing

Ouch.

Guess you'll have to come to the states and get a bit of skiing in, then.

We were trying to arrange a group trip to Whistler, but the people that we usually go away with can't make it when we want to go ..... never tried the states for skiing, but Canada seems to be cheaper with as good if not better facilities ...

Probably is cheaper, if solely due to currency valuations.

And I'm sure you could get some s to venture to the great white north...

Brant has already suggested that he would be interested in coming north to meet up ... and I suggested a WhistlerCon, but that didn't seem to meet with too much enthusiasm
