I had to reformat my dad's computer and start from scratch because the program that was causing the problems would NOT uninstall...

I found a great prgramme for removing other programmes that wouldn't uninstall ..... adaware I think it was called. Seemed to be able to get it to uninstall most things apart from itself .....

Hadn't thought of that. I've used some of Adaware's other products in the past. I'll have to check that out for future reference...thanks.

me and regedit aren't friends these days... I spent far too long trying to find all the references to the @#%#&*$ ThinkPad modem in my laptop one time and decided that I gave up. Haven't touched regedit since. Can you believe that the drivers for that internal modem were 30MB?!?!?!?!?!

I was too grumpy to ask for help. The sad thing is that I used to do tech support for a living. As you can tell, I've done my best to forget everything I knew.

There are definitely days I wish I didn't have so much technology in my life...

Hey, don't feel bad, Brant. I work in software development, and I often wish I didn't have so much tech in my life!!
