for some reason the insurance co. wouldn't total it .... he paid about US$60,000 for it, and the repair costs were about US$55,000 ....... but the insurance co. insisted on having the work done and wouldn't just pay him the money .... he reckons he would be lucky to get $40,000 for it now ......

In that case...I would pay him $35,000 for it.

I actually offered him $30,000 for it, but he decided that he would keep the car since it wasn't worth selling ..... the problem in Hong Kong is that there is only one garage that works on Ferraris, so if you are going to buy a car there, you just go in and ask them about the car and they have the full history .... if anyone thought about buying that one, they would just tell them that it had to be totally rebuilt after a serious accident ..... that should put off any potential buyers ....
