It IS cheaper to import a lhd version of most European / American models ..... it is also difficult to source a rhd version.
Previously it was cool to have a lhd because it meant it was imported, which meant it was more expensive, now, it is hard to get hold of a rhd porsche for example, so it is more cool to have the rhd than the lhd now .....

However, there is another side to the argument, some people still insist on a lhd porsche since they say it is more pure since that is the way porsche orginally designed it, and that having a rhd means that you are compromising the original design .... this argument, however, wouldn't work with the S2000 ...

my S feels pretty pure to me. If GOD almighty had intended me to shift with my left hand
then he would have made me left-handed.
