GTA vice city is the all time best selling game at 13million copies. How many xbox units are on the market?

GTA san andreas sold:
3million domestic copies
1.5million european copies
almost 60,000 australian copies.

In australia, 10,000 PS2s were purchased on opening weekend of GTA, which is over 3 times the total xbox sales in that country.

Halo 2 has nothing. All microsoft hype.

Now can we get back to our off-topic topic?

 

I have a PS1 with a mod chip and 50 games. But that's it. Not likely to get a new game box of any type. Not interested... no time... lots of reasons.

I'll play my son's though when I get it for him

 

neither of these games brings anything really new or revolutionary to the game play...they're both a lot of hype IMO

 

But that doesn't keep them from being very good games or "best in class" for the time being.

 

Good games, fun, but nothing earth shattering like Half Life or Doom.

 

For me the games that went to a new level were: Doom, Ridge Racer and Metal gear Solid. Others seem to just improve on those.

I'm no expert so tell me the others.

 

Goldeneye was the groundbreaking multiplayer FPS for game consoles. For me, no game since has been able to match the fun and number of hours played. Halo has come close though. I'm hoping Xbox Live Halo 2 tops Goldeneye.
