They looked at Dustin with his .30-06 sticking out the window, the sun glinting off his 18x40 scope, the red dot shining from the barrel-mounted laser sight, and quickly turned around like the chicken shits they were.

We got the hell outta there, met at my house... Both of us were shaking from the adrenaline...

And just for the record, the .30-06 was NOT loaded. Even if it was, the only person to get hurt if it was fired would be Dustin. The red dot was not from a laser sight; rather, it was from a laser bore sight!

Thanks

Though if I did, it would've all been my fault anyway...

They were a bunch of fat bastards in polo shirts, shorts, and loafers with no socks. I knew they had no gun (or other deadly weapon) - I just didn't want to get run over, beat with a tire iron, or have them follow me to my house... Of course, I could've lost them on the freeway, but you know me... Always gotta do things the hard way.

It did give Dustin and I a good laugh, though! Straight out of a movie!

You're lucky man.

I have to say my 2 cents....it all could have been avoided by just letting it go in the first place....

Lucky? Don't forget stupid and idiotic...

That's the problem with me (among many others) - I can never just let things go, no matter the potential consequences or how trivial...

Well...at least you realize that. In the future maybe that will help you counter it.
