5lug..hmm...reason why.. well, i'm talking to people at king motorsports because i'm going with the mugen non-adjustable suspension for sure.. it's 1 3/4" drop..with that, i'm looking at 17" Volk LE37's w/falken azenis 225/45-17's (i think that's what the size was)..i wasn't going to go 17's until i found out how light they are, and how good it looked.. for auto-x, i'll go with probably a smaller rim.
thing is.... LE37's only come in 5 lug, 17"...which sucks.. that's the hiccup..

lights, sway bar (civic type r one is 22mm and i'd probably swap out anyway), are pretty minimal reasons. no performance difference or anything either...

i guess i need to find out what the total difference between '03 and '04 are.

 

hehehehehe.... i had to tell myself that i'd have no fun car for 2~3 years.. pay this thing off, and make it my daily driver until the wheels fall off. then i can get a convertible and make sure it gets zaino love, and never sees salt or snow

 

Why are you going with Mugen? Seems to me if you're gonna dump all that money into the car that you might as well keep the S and just learn to daily drive it.

Anyway, have you given any thought to Ground Control adjustable perches on either stock shocks or Koni's or something?

As for the 5 lug problem, you've got a couple options. First is to step up to the 04 and second would be to find some 5 lug hubs that'll fit the 03 and swap them on.

 

BTW...why would you subject yourself to not having a fun car for so long? What's the point of driving if you can't have fun doing it?!
