Ooooooh, that'd be an extremely bad idea, Jeff. The temptation would be fierce!

Temptation? I never was good at resisting... I'd go through a dozen missiles a day...

Not any longer. The F22 Raptor, my namesake, is faster.
Technically, the F22 hasn't finished Operational Evaluation though. Meaning it is not fully released for fleet introduction.

I may be wrong. I can check this tomorrow at work.

I'm pretty sure you're correct Rob. Testing was still going on in Nov/Dec; can't imagine it's gotten all the checkoffs (especially after the crash at Nellis).

Which is faster, the AF's strike eagle or the Navy's hornet?

f15 much faster than the 18. Even the f/A-18E-F or super-hornet. Ya know, the two seater version.

F15 is faster than all the legacy aircraft. RAPTOR is right about the F22 being faster than the 15.

It is another branch of my agency that tests aircraft. My branch of course does all the spec war stuff. The other big projects right now are the *H60-R helicopter and the MMA. I'm sure RAPTOR knows about MMA, but essentially it is a 737 airframe with special electronics suite. MMA = Multi Mission Aircraft. Don't know if you have heard of either of those?

No, both are new to me.

WTF are they doing with 737 frames?

Didn't know that. I suppose if I'd stayed at USAFA and survived the Bush family's vendetta with Saddam Hussein, I might've ended up flying those.

I guess I'll settle for speeding my S2000 around town.
