That doesn't sound too bad, Marcus. Is insurance aware of your mods? I was wonderinng if that changed the price tag?

They are. I've sent them a list and photos of everything and my rates did not change at all. Of course my agent has been handling my entire families insurance needs for years. They did put me in a show-car category though.

OK, so what does "show car" category mean for an insurance policy (if you don't mind me asking).

Hmm... I wonder if "show car" puts some restrictions on you that they neglected to tell you. It might. I would guess that the reason for a "show car" policy is that they could charge you less since you wouldn't be spending much time on road or track.

If you ever look into it, post the explanation. I'm just curious.

It does put restrictions on.....but also as a plus let's you push some other things that would be allowed on a street car.....or so is the case with my brother's car.

So there you go... Les, do you know what they (restrictions) are? Maybe Marcus needs this info... (he does have one of the coolest cars on the board! )

I think that is totally dependent on where you live and what insurance company you use......keep in mind I'm in Canada....always more restrictions here
