OK, here's the real deal. I have this very rich, very unhappy client who has been paying me a lot of money and making my life miserable for years. I've been working on one contaminated property of his that's under the jurisdiction of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control for over two years -- a real nightmare site. he has given me insessant grief (and still owes me almost $20,000). I decided to talk him into firing me. Just after I made that post, which I intended to explain was a joke after a few posts, he called me on my cell phone to say he was in my neighborhood and wanted to talk "now." I ran out the door and met with him for three hours, accomplished my objective, came home, and went to bed, completely forgetting about that thread until this morning. I'm sorry if all this has offended some people. I've PMed everyone who responded to the thread to explain.
