It has lots of programmable stuff. It locates false alarms by GPS and remembers the locations. It has a button to mark locations, like speed traps, and a GPS icon on the front face. It's quite a bit heavier than the X50, but about the same size. It's completely compatible with my existing hardwire setup. It also tells me my speed during an alert.

i got my x50 from best buy, there's a part of me that would prefer to source my item from a brick and mortar store, but at some point i won't want to hold out anymore so i'll do mail order and hope it arrives in time

 

I've always ordered my radar detectors direct from Escort. I'm in their computer. It helps if you have a problem, which I did once. I had to send a detector back to them for service. They paid everything except my shipping.
