Like everything here in the Commonwealth () of Massachusetts, we have to be different. It's called the Registry (of Motor Vehicles) -- a.k.a. RMV. Everyone else, except apparently Indiana, seems to call it DMV.

Yeah, it's the DMV in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan too... but here it's the Bureau, which is appropriate because they're about as efficienct as a bureaucracy can be

It took me an hour+ to reserve my plates and another hour and 20 minutes to renew them, at two seperate trips 5 months apart... Brutally efficient.

Dunno what they call it in LA, Brunt.

One thing about the Registry here in MA is that it's improved a zillion percent in the last 10 years. They've really done a great job. It used to be like pulling teeth. Now it's more like a deep flossing.
