Some orthos will recommend it, others won't. Some feel like there's no benefit of wearing one, but it doesn't hurt to wear one either. If your ortho isn't recommending you to wear one, then it's best to follow his orders since you're under his care.

Yikes Raptor! Hope you're not in too much pain and that the healing goes smoothly. BTW, I was hoping to become a Trojan this year but just can't afford it right now.
