Default I have a new job

Next week I'll be in Hawaii on vacation - yea!

When I get back, I'll be starting a new job. I'm excited because I'll be helping a new startup with their company identity (I help solve identity crises, ha ha!), website, PR, etc., which is always fun. This will be my 4th startup - the 3rd one where I'll be responsible for establishing all the marcomm and PR.

I'm a little worried, however, because over the last few months, my brain has started to turn to mush. Hanging out in the Hot Box thread, typing useless banter, using LOL instead of really laughing ... and not to mention, all the drinking. Oh, and the too.

In fact, I've noticed that I have started making a lot of typos in my posts. I used to really read them and make sure they made sense. Now, I don't even care, since I know you will all understand.

What if I'm writing a press release and stick LOL in the middle of it? What then??? And how on earth will I survive without at least 2-4 hours of posting per day?

Please help.

:looks pleadingly at the PWs for reassurance:

We're going to the Big Island. Since I remarried about 8 years ago, my hubby and I have always taken a summer vacation to get some time alone together without my son. Of course, my son has always complained that we never take him anywhere (which is not entirely true). So this year, he's bringing a friend, so the 4 of us are staying in a 2 BR condo in Kona, spending a couple days in Volcano Village across the island, and just hangin'. I can't wait!

Red,

On your new job, best wishes! We'll try to cut you some slack if your PPD drops.

Frankly, I think more press releases need LOL in them, not to mention BEER, and even LMAO. As a matter of fact, most press releases should have these things in them.

Tallyho!
