We did oak hardwood floor in kitchen, service porch, dining room, hallway, den, and bathrooms.

When we remodeled our house, our doofus contractor took two months to do the kitchen. Our refrigerator sat in the breezeway between the house and the garage the whole time. Getting up in the middle of the night and going outside to open the refrigerator got really old. Plus, he turned off the water to the house to work on the water heater just as the gardener was laying new sod in the backyard. Then, when the gardener yelled at him, he turned the water back on without the water heater hooked up and flooded and ruined our brand new hardwood floor.

I could go on all day about the other screwups he did.

Hang in the RC My folks wound up doing the eating-out maneuver for 3 months due to a fiasco that was almost as bad as Raptor's problem.

They loved it, because all the local places started to know them by name.
