well we've been doing one thing at a time.. we did landscaping and driveway about 2 months ago... that took about 6 weeks, we did baseboards, paint, doors, entrance, garage, etc... about a year and a half ago, and now we're finally doing hte kitchen and walkways.. if it was limestone or something, it would be nice in the family room, but not ceramic tile
i think i'm gonna have to talk to my parents tomorrow and put my foot down on this one

My folks wound up doing the eating-out maneuver for 3 months due to a fiasco that was almost as bad as Raptor's problem.
