by the way, how do you like the 350D? i am leaning heavily toward getting an olympus e-300 with 2 lenses or the pentax *ist DS with one lens as a starter. i am kind of off put by the 350D because of the mediocre kit lens compared to the rest of the consumer dSLR group... but it's features are so good.

also i am not too fond of the plasticky feel i have when holding one compared to the other two.

Thanks George

I love the 350D. Battery life is great, picture quality is amazing, the screen on the camera is perfect, the weight feels good, in fact I really can't fault it.

I haven't tried any of the others, but I decided on the 350D because I already have an EOS with a couple of lenses, and the lenses are interchangeable between the two bodies, which is a great bonus

It's okay, I don't think they would let me in to the country for any length of time
