Yes not a Vin Diesel as we were told we REALLY DID NOT NEED TO GO TO THE 2500 HD

and we would of not minded having Diesel ( cheap gas + ) butt dint wanna spend the $$$$ for it

Chevy's were 5.3 as apposed to 5.7 Liter

Pros & con's to both and finally decided on the RAM and it took awhile to find the perfect fit option wise. Would have gotten a long bed butt again not easily found

DID want the Extend Mirror benefit for the Trailer haul, 4 REAL doors as we also haul 's & LG's at times & even mom's short self loves having a real back seat

I will say the technology is changing as far as tunage ….. not only do you not need a CD player but some have all the plugs for just bout anything

Kinda bitter/sweet as the Silverado C-6 inherited was just NOT set up to pull / haul that big trailer so we decided his Bro would rather us be safe than sorry

This RAM is def capable and he did a lot of research before we chose it

for my HRSB
Somehow I missed that post. Maybe because I quoted your post and then didn't read back.

I missed it at first as well. I always wanted a dually even though I had no need for one.

I missed it as well and wouldn't mind a 1 ton diesel pickup with a 5th wheel to pull the epic race trailer and/or boat I can't afford

Follow up on gas vs diesel, even though I'm a big fan of diesel in general and especially for tow vehicles, if you know your trailer isn't particularly heavy (I'm guessing the new camper is ~4000 lbs, which is relatively light), the payoff on buying diesel will never happen.

The small trailer DID weigh about 4K + BB
The new larger one is around 7 -8 K

The 5.7 is capable of towing about 10 K as we opted for the 8 gears automatic. Some people don't even realize theres all these variable's you can choose from.

Any hooooooooooo looking forward to testing it out! C-6 can definitely see / feel the difference from the Silverado's 5.3

So yeah the Diesel cost did not compute for us at this time

Got the NerF bars and a newer version of hard cover, & bed liner. The Silverado had the SnugTop which is nice butt the new one is much more versatile as you can flip it back in sections so if you just want part open say. Also removable easily

We have a nibble on the Silverado from my neighbors Dad & if he decides it will be headed to Issaquah small world

I don't know why I'm surprised by that... except that my brother's 27 foot long fiberglass boat with a 454 CI engine in it weighs less.
