The small trailer DID weigh about 4K + BB
The new larger one is around 7 -8 K

I'm guessing the KEY word is fiberglass and boat as in thats about even on length but think about the whole frame of the trailer not 2 mention the contents
also you typically load the trailer with a few things
but they do take that into consideration luckily!I'm surprised none of you noticed the - of a HITCH
I thought
why would they add the tow package ( which includes a cool brake system internal ) and not bother to put the HITCH on
funny 2 see some of the have's & not haves it gets you

adds
OH I forgot BB there's one other factor that affects towing its the ratio of the gears in the rear or sumtin
butt yeah we had to look for that as some have it and some don't
I had compiled a list we would just
out
We would have gotten a used one but again finding all the things we needed at say CarMax or wherever was challenging.
I will say this was one of the more pleasant purchasing of a new vehicle experiences we've had
the DUDE was awesome
funny , patient w pita & gave us a great deal

The reason the tow package doesn't come with a hitch (I assume you actually mean the receiver, not just the ball) is that the type/rating of the receiver will vary based on what you're towing, so each owner will need something different.
Also, there might be some liability of installing a hitch...
I assume you mean that you got a higher final drive gear, which helps accelerate while towing.
As far as the trailer weight vs a boat... fiberglass boats are HEAVY. It just seems odd that an aluminum shell on a steel rail would be heavier, regardless of what you put in it (boats have a lot of the same things in them too).

Kinda bitter/sweet as the Silverado C-6 inherited was just NOT set up to pull / haul that big trailer so we decided his Bro would rather us be safe than sorry
This RAM is def capable and he did a lot of research before we chose it

Somehow I missed that post. Maybe because I quoted your post and then didn't read back.

This is really weird...I swear I saw a different date/time - maybe I was looking at the previous quoted post?

Yeah I mean the lil square hole you shove the hitch into
we HAVE the hitch w/ the Ball thingie. Some DID have it on already.
We had added one at the Hitch place to the Silverado butt gonna let the dealer install on this one since I coned him down on the cost
ita: Yeah
the boat thing is odd. But do they have a bedroom Kitchen pull out sofa , table & chairs , stove , 2 comfy chairs , food stored , not to mention the crap in the outer entrance storage like BBQ , tools etc… that may be why?
