That last part has been the only saving grace IMO.

I have a small sample size of lounges I've been in (SEA w/ AS and DL, ATL w/ DL, LAX w/ AA, ICN w/ KAL, and MEX with Aeromexico), and really only the AA lounge in LAX and the ICN lounge were worth anything. The SEA and ATL lounges were packed and the MEX lounge was inexplicably before security, so I had to leave even earlier.

Then again... If I more consistently flew one airline (I'm split between AS and DL) it'd be easy to justify lounge access for LAX alone. The food and drink options in LAX are so horrible.

on another note, having food from DEN to CLE is nice but I wish they would also have food on my COS to ORD flight. That flight is easier for me to get bumped, but there is no food or free drinks, and usually no tv either.
