I'll let you know when it arrives and I install it. Base on reviews I've read they really make a difference. We shall see.
My finely tuned bullshit detector is going off.

Unless Alfa programmed in a huge amount of latency in the throttle response (which, you know, totally makes sense for a sports car) this seems like a bit of voodoo placebo.

Your bs detector has a flaw.

It doesn't alter the power, it simply changes the throttle response timing from the pedal.

Here's a video of it on a 4C.

No, I get what it's doing. It's just a digital input. Like, it's a signal from 0-1, where the default map might be:

0.00 0.00 0.01 0.04 0.10 0.18 0.28 0.40 0.52 0.66 0.82 1.00 1.00

And they're remapping it to

0.00 0.05 0.15 0.40 0.65 0.80 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00

So when you drive, you barely move your foot and the throttle picks up, turbo starts spooling, car goes woosh. FEELS faster. But as you concede, it isn't actually faster other than the millisecond it takes to move your foot. But you lose a lot of granularity, so you end up like the dumbass in the video (probably a different one than the one you posted) excitedly gushing that he barely moved his foot and the car is WOT... SO COOL oh wait it's a terrible idea.

Not trying to shit on it. Well not entirely at least . I've come to appreciate, especially as cars have gotten faster and faster but the speed limits haven't, that feeling good going sorta fast is better than actually going really fast.

It's the throttle response from a stop that needs improving on the Alfa, as there is a lot of lag from a dead stop. If I wanted to go faster I get the ecu tuned, this isn't about going faster, it's about improving the throttle response.

I don't believe I stated it was to make the car faster, merely to improve throttle response.

The video is a 4C, I don't have a 4C, I have a Giulia. I used the 4C video as it showed the car in motion and how t works.
