From: Come see me after class.
Well, I've got two funny stories:
1. UTI has been gracious enough to let me use their dyno facilities for my "personal vehicles." Here are the results:
S2000: 241hp/148lb-ft
E55 AMG: 440hp/471lb-ft (grossly underrated by Mercedes)
575M Maranello: 437hp/385lb-ft
300ZX TT: 618hp/639lb-ft
Quest TT: 407hp/458lb-ft
I'll see if I can scan the dyno plots...
2. I wrecked the S2000 hauling butt down the backroads. I was showing off to a BMW sales rep and was doing 90mph in a 10mph zone (the BMW guy says he can take the M3 at 70-80mph), nailing all apexes and my shifting. Then, on the cool-down run, I shifted into 2nd gear toos oon (70mph), locked up the rear tires, and slid through the ditch, over a manhole cover (that sytuck up 2ft out of the ground), then up the embankment, before catching a bit of some air before landing on the concrete driveway. Not that much bodily damage, but the left-rear wheel was ripped off (a la Luke's incident), and shattered the brake rotor. The inner wheel well was also ripped off. The front is perfect, but the rear is a bit tweaked; the trunk won't close. Anyway, it's in the shop now so no pics. I do have a freaking ticket that the cop issued me: "failure to control speed to avoid accident."
Oh well.
