I'm going autocrossing Saturday
It will be my first.
(I'm posting in the Corner because the road racers will look down on me.)
:feels a little shy, knowing auto-crossers have been called cross-dressers by some road racers:
Has anyone else done it?

. And don't be shy, everyone has to start somewhere. Lord knows I still get my ass handed to me by the Z06's and the other S2000 I race with, but it sure is nice to smoke all the Mustangs
. I think you'll be surprised at how easy it is to throw down decent times with this car. Hard to get great times, but easy to get good ones. Tell us how it goes! Good luck! Oh, I've got a race this weekend too...kick ass!

It's Kathy with a K. Don't follow Raptor's lead and start calling me Cathy.
I'm gonna rep the PW's well! Yea!
Unfortunately, the usual hard-core auto-xers from SoCal (Jason Rhodes and Jason Keeney) are both not going to be there tomorrow, so I'm not sure if any of my s2k bretheren will be there. At least I feel confident that I've driven tracks a couple of times, so I'm familiar with that feeling - including the spins!
And I'm sure the other folks will be nice - it's great being a chick, it's always easy to ask for advice, help, etc.
I am so excited!!!

Sorry! I knew that didn't seem right for some reason.

If your going to Auto-X, I >STRONGLY< suggest you use a different set of tires for it.
The first time I auto-x'd my S2K, I did it on my S02's..and it ripes the living shvt out of the edges of the tires.
I bought a seperate set of used rims ($500 bucks), and went with Yoko A032R's (Race Compound) with 225 in the front and 245s in the rear.
You'll see what I mean after your first auto-x :-)
