We are good friends with this couple. He is a retired Pasadena real estate broker. She is Iranian and grew up in Germany. She comes from a wealthy family and inherited a lot of property in Iran. She had to make several very arduous trips to Iran to liquidate the property. She was assaulted by the Morals Police more than once. They could get the money out of Iran, but not into the US. They decided to buy a big house in Comox (Courtney) in central Vancouver Island on the coast of the Strait of Georgia, right on the water, and open a bed and breakfast. It's drop dead gorgeous, bald eagles and pods of Orcas. We've stayed there twice. We're going to sell our the house and business (not the Vette) and move in with them. We've thought about this for a long time. We're not prepared to deal with Trump America.
