Here in the colonies we would call it a pay raise. I'm speculating that the difference stems from the surfeit of vowels we have owing to our correct spelling of color, neighbor, aluminum, and program (we pick up a consonent as well on that last one). But that's just speculation.

Holden (the Aus arm General Motors) have developed a 2 door coupe version of the extremely popular Commodore family car marketed as the Monaro.



This car is now to be exported to the US and rebadged as the Pontiac GTO.

Whether or not this is fact or not I can't say, but it is certainly incredible.

Water goes down the plug-hole clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere - as explained by the hypothetical force, theCoriolis effect. Presumably it goes straight down at the equator
