Jen, sorry to hear about your loss ..... 
As for your fear of flying, I do thousands of miles every year, I still get nervous during turbulence, but have been through it many many times, and never has there been a problem with it !! These planes are designed to take it ... it may not be comfortable, but you are more likely to spill your drink than you are for the plane to have a problem !!

Mom dose not like to fly either so I can relate! I made it through the flight to Maui by watchin the movies that was a good distraction! If there is no movie then magazines help! Even a drink is a good idea seems to relax you a little. Best of luck it will be fine and sorry again for your loss

I've worked in the aviation industry for almost 15 years now, and I can honestly say that I'm scared to death of flying!
ill figure somthing out maybe i shoul dbring some of the mags that are piled on my counter, i subscribe to Car and Driver, Automobile, Road and Track, Sport Compact Car, Super Street and many more......there are huge piles from this year that i havent even gotten to take a look at,......maybe ill take advantage and take a peek at some of them

how can i forget motor trend lol
