John's idea of a PG Geo Metro.
OK, I'm back. I only go to parties in my glow-in-the-dark moon suit that shoots radioactive sparks and belches noxious, choking gases. Smiling of course.
My thoughts on SUV vs. PGGM. PGGM loses to everything. Mrs. Raptor drives an Acura MDX, so I've got to be careful here. Saturday we leave for 8 nights in Big Bear (elev. 7,800') with my giant computerized scope. Mrs. Raptor drives the SUV with two dogs, two scopes, and all our stuff. I go separately in the S. We do Astronomy at night and tear up the mountain in the S during the day. SUVs make nice support vehicles.
This year Figco, a new S owner, member, friend and our accountant and Figco Jr. are coming up in his S and Mrs. Figco is coming up in their minivan and all their stuff. They're staying a couple of nights. Sunday morning, I and Figco and Figco Jr. are driving back down the mountain, hooking up with a bunch of SoCal S guys, making a run back up, having lunch at a cool Mexican place, doing Astronomy that night, and who the hell knows what will happen from there. My friend Bobby from the Pasadena PD, an amazingly funny guy, who has a cabin in Big Bear, will be joining us.

I can't wait. I'm going to be in hog heaven -- mountain, pine forest, beautiful lake, Mrs. Raptor and doggies having a blast, Astronomy every night, tearing up the mountain in the S -- and now the pleasure of the company of my S2K buddies. It just doesn't get any better that this.
That really does sound great, Raptor. OK, we won't hold having the MDX against you -- not when you're using it for cargo room, as god intended! And, let's not forget, it's a Honda (alright, Acura, whatever
)
I never made it to Big Bear when I lived in CA. Sounds wonderful!!
Bring your moon suit; it'll scare the coyotes away
