This place is properly named. I've never been anywhere that had 5% humidity, I'd love to experience it some day.

Wild to think that our current 27C feels downright cool after last week. Very few people here along the coast have the need for AC in their homes so it was tough for a lot of people.

BC got up to 121F, the next day Lytton, BC burnt down.
On June 29, Lytton, a small town about 200km (124 miles) from Vancouver, hit 49.6C (121F), setting a national record for the highest temperature ever recorded across Canada.

^ there were quite a few deaths attributed to the heat, as for the wildfire the number who perished is unknown at this time, but the numbers will grow as officials find it safe to enter the burned area.

This just tells you how wacky our weather is. Here in Sacramento,Calif a few years ago we had 41 days over 100F and 17 days over 105 for the summer and yet, Lytton,BC has a higher all time high(121F) to Sacramento(114F) all the while being almost 1000 miles due north from Sacramento.
Just crazy, And I doubt we'll ever know the real number of deaths caused by the heat. How sad.

I know it is mind boggling to me as a Canadian, the temperature comparison to Mecca Saudi Arabia was a stat that really got me thinking, even compared to California , just crazy.

I'm surrounded by 20% of the world's fresh water supply , so hopefully I never have to worry about water wars if I stay where I am.
