'Fun' as in if you get stung by a caged scorpion, you're just a dumbass. If, however, you get stung by a 'wild' scorpion, at least it's that much more dignified, if that's even possible.
I guess one good thing about living out here is we don't have those beasties. Good thing; I wouldn't want to worry about my kids getting stung.
The real dignity is sucking the venom out of someone.

That's why you learn to keep meat tenderizer in your back pocket.
And no, not the hammer variety. 
Meat tenderizer works wonders on all stings - they neutralize the proteins in the venom, from wasps to bees to spiders to snakes to scorpions to catfish, etc.
Down here in Texas, scorpions are as abundant as rattlesnakes, poisonous spiders, etc., but there's really no need to be afraid. In all reality, they're more afraid of us, than us of them; they just want to get away. The only times they (rattlers and spiders included) bite/sting is when provoked or startled.
