And you are acting like an ass.
You own your own business?
You pay taxes-over and above the employee taxes?
I doubt it.

What does owning a business have to do with working for yourself? Like 1099? Or do you have to actually own a store to be qualified enough to say when the elderly need to be cut off?

I've probably paid more in capital gains than you have in corporate taxes. But that doesn't mean I'm going to say we should cut all social spending and be totally ignorant of corporate welfare!

A reduction in % of increase is only seen as a "cut" or "loss" if you are an oil company....
If you reduce % of increase for assistance and DO NOT reduce % increase of COSTS, you are thereby screwing the elderly. That is the point, sir.

Medicare/Elder care and the amount of $$ is not being cut--only the rate of yearly increases.

Yeah, sticking it to the elderly isn't being an ass, it's good for business!

The point of my arguement-which apparently, you missed, is that Social Programs are NOT being cut.
Only the amount per year and the increasement of said programs-are being reduced.
2007 programs will not be less than what was funded in 2006.

Inflation runs at a lesser rate than the % increase in social programs.
Thats a CUT according to you.

Speaking of which, you must not be a Bush or Reagan supporter if you think all budgets should be cut...

All budgets should be cut-in order to reduce our national debt.
Every program-military/education/social etc.
