SO a serious mistake was made by vmom when back looking for a rental to hold us for the in between House selling and New House being ready I neglected to consider the fact that Cigarette is very irritating to me. YES those of you who know me & C-6 know that he DID used to smoke but never indoors. LUCKILY the Pandemic and or Covid got him to QUIT as our youngest was VERY concerned with him contracting Covid and being a smoker ( much more risk there )

So I found what looked like a nice community and Apt even had an inside Washer & Dryer and a single car garage.

What I ignorantly didn't consider was ending up with a Smoker living above us it has been only a few weeks but it has been very tuff here, not just trying to sleep but just BEING inside this apt.
I did not realize there was such a thing as a Smoke Free Community when looking at Apts

lesson learned think of EVERYTHING before jumping into a contract or lease etc....

we have found a new Apt to move to but will probably eat some of the cost, fees etc...

the loss of $ will be well worth it as its been REALLY BAD

 

Sorry to hear that Mom. I’m surprised I didn’t think that any apartments allow smoking inside anymore.

yeah I dunno seems like that might be the case in some places but older places I guess haven't changed their policy.
trust me its really bad, tried opening window / patio door & bought an air purifier but doesn't kill it.

 

That sucks and agree it’s surprising it’s even allowed! Such a nuisance especially since you’ve got enough on your plate with moving multiple times.

 

That should not prevent you from having MomAQue 2023. Smoked meat is great.

Thanks LG yeah loosing the $$ isn't great and your credit gets checked when you apply so thats not good as in having it checked a lot I'll keep ya posted

Hey Mom, you should complain that smoke is migrating to your unit and demand the rental property move you to a new location cost free, there should not be smoke exchange between units. That would drive us crazy too, smoke is a hazard.
