271 is def. possible in a 1000+hp supra, provided it has the proper aero package and precautions, i.e wheels/tires, brakes suspension, etc.

yeah, some canards and a wing would help. 271 MPH is FOCKING fast!!!! the drag has to be HUGE at that speed.....

 

underbody diffusers are a must also!! I think

lingenfelter was testing his 650hp TT vette over at ft. stockton's 7.5-mi oval. on the back straight, lingenfelter hit a turkey vulture at ~215mph...



the bird disintegrated, and ed up the vette


turkey vultures, after all, are rather large specimens

Put it this way, at 215mph, you cover 3.6mi every minute. Or 1 mile ever 17sec.

 

You would also need a fockin' long straight piece of track to get to that speed !!!!!

You are talking about covering something like 400 feet per second !!!!!!
