I've driven in ~35 states so far... and the bad driving is pretty much universal. The only thing that changes is what people do stupidly. I'd actually put WA (specifically Seattle-Tacoma) towards the top of the list as big cities go. Not sure how much of it is good road design vs driver attitude, but traffic flows a lot better than most big cities I've been in, where it's every man for himself.
