thanks Gina, the 250 has been a great lil car, but I think it's time to move on to something that's a bit more fun (and will hold it's value, with nay luck it will be the down payment on an S in a couple years). and thank you SO MUCH for giving me Jeff's number friday, who knows how much longer we would've waited without that.

I'd go with the Teg, though the A4 is an excellent choice as well. Are those A4's available with a manual tranny and what about a Miata?

yes, I'm looking at the 5 speed A4. The miata just doesn't look appealing for whatever reason (I'd be looking at 99+ models, which seem watered down and slightly over styled compared to the older body style).

I'm glad you're looking into getting a car with a manual. I still say the Teg, if you want luxury, just steal your dad's LS.

Both cars are fairly luxury IMO, but the integra has more of a sport soul, whereas the audi is luxury with a sport edge. I've only driven an auto a4 so far, which left a very impression as far as build quality (it felt almost as solid as the LS and the other larger lexus's), but the transmission shifted slow as shit (when getting on the freeway, it would accelerate in 2nd, then when i leveled out, it would engage 3rd for a couple seconds, and finally go into top gear). I also drove a 99 integra GS 5spd, which was ok. It was very slow (feeling anyhow), the steering was heavier than I thought it needed to be and the car in general felt very light and plastic-y. I imagine the GSR will have a much different feel to it on the road due to the engine, and driving a 5spd A4 may put my only real day to day complaint with the A4 to rest. There's also chipping the A4 ($400-500), which will put it at about 200hp and 245lb/ft (vs. 150hp and 162lb/ft stock), and that would level the straight line performance between the 2 cars.
