One-hour flight to Buffalo, and about an hour drive from my buddy's apartment. 
He moved back to Chicago a few months ago though.
He claimed he could make it from Buffalo to Chicago in under 9 hours in a Jeep Wrangler with over 100k mi. Sounds fishy to me. I figure I could reach Toronto from my house in 7-8 hours, Niagara about 2 from there.
