Default Macbook Air

Since you guys know your hardware, I"m wondering if I should get one? I need an internet browser and don't need some power machine. Light and portable are a plus. I am wondering about the durability though.

What do you know?

Raj, if you got the cash, and all you need is a thin client (in every sense of the word), go for it.

I for one, am passing: what I need right now is either a MacMini or a MacPro, but not a lot of in-between.

What about the air vs. A previous gen macbook pro. The 15 incher is like 1600 bucks loaded.

probably a good idea. this might fall into the category of, you'll know if you need what the air's got based what you need to do with it. if the pro covers your bases, its probably the better choice. personally my only concern with laptops these days is the battery life. I have a tablet I use to draw on and have a second battery so I can run 5 to 6 hours. the air supposedly goes for 5 hours on its single battery. not too bad.
