Maybe, but they won't. They're heels, especially Bahula. . . he's the worst of the lot.

 

Battery life is not a concern. Functionality isn't a big concern, I need a good Internet browser mainly, but for 2 k , maybe the old pro is better.

The air does have LCD screen, multitouch pad, and some other new dance features, plus its ultra portable, where the pro has a lot more functionality.

 

If you're looking for an internet browser and nothing else, find an old 12"

I'd say go for the older Pro but you keep saying all you need is a browser. If all I needed was a browser I might get the Air but really I have to think you'll be sorry in the end.

I was pretty keen on the Air but soured on it. Why? No built in CD/DVD drive (when you buy a new CD don't you rip it right away?), only 1 USB port (!!! WTF?!!), need for an adapter to connect a monitor, no Firewire, Remote Disc is stupid, and only 80 GB HD. Finally all you need it for is a browser right?... well the 4,200 rpm drive is reported to crawl when using a Firefox browser (I don't want to use any other browser including Safari).

These are *my* reasons not to get an air. I think I'm getting a MacBook Pro

Update: I got a current gen MacBook pro refurb. Its the 2.4ghz version and its purdy. I need to get a protective cover for it now.
