Bingo!

Some people can't seperate the two. I have issues with the policy, but not the executors of that policy (who don't have the option to say no).

So... uhm...

Did we find the WMDs?
Actually yes. I just finished my NBC (Nuclear Biological Chemical) class. They gave us many examples of the stuff found during Operation Iraqi Freedom. It just never gets filtered down though the news to you guys. We even had troops exposed, but I can't remember enough of the details to share it...I don't want to give out any false info.

Luke I consider you to be a good source. I have suspicions howerver about those giving you that information (and their motives).

I can only go on two things: What *has* filtered down to us through news and logic. The logic goes like this: Bush looks like a buffoon for having invaded to find WMDs and not having found them... he has quite enough power to get that news out if somehow the news gathering agencies have missed it or decided not to air it. Why hasn't he?

Why don't we bomb N. Korea? They are test firing missles and telling us they have WMDs.

We on the West Coast are probably within range I sure as don't believe the "Star Wars" missle defense system is going to actually shoot down any incoming ICBMs.
I'm also for the US using nukes now. I've learned about methods they can be used without creating fallout. If you explode the nuke above the ground (airburst)you get a larger area of destruction (for a given warhead size) plus more damage in that area....without the fallout. The area is clean within 2-5 days. (The time is which the radiation breaks down is exponentially greater when it isn't soaked into particles. i.e. Dirt) And you control the blast area by the size of the warhead and detonation height.

The problem is the stigma of nukes to the general public who really don't know any more than what they see in the movies. Hell...I didn't know any better until just recently.

I understand what you are saying. I saw pictures of the stuff...and they want us to be educated on what we may experience..especially in leadership positions. IMO I think not enough were found that would have justified it to the public anyway...so why raise the fuss. However...I know exactly how bad some of this stuff is and I think any is too much. I saw pictures that even some of my fellow classmates had to look away from.

I started asking our instructor specifics about both chemical weapons and nukes and I ran into the security clearance wall. So I'll be the first on to admit I don't even know all of the facts.

Luke I meant no disrespect you or any of our soldiers. I do support the troops. I just cant stand the buffoon making the decisions. Clearly he had his head in the sand when he made decisions on the insurgency and a "free Iraq"
No...I understand that Mike.

I'm just such an advocate of freedom that in some ways I guess I don't mind turning a blind eye to the other motivations if that's what it takes to liberate people or kill terrorists that jeopordize ours. Is that bad? I don't know...maybe so...but it's the path I choose to follow.

Hey Luke there's something we're all saying or trying to say so I'll spell it out. I don't think there's a single person here who would oppose you or the legions of good people soldiering on out there... in fact we're (I know I am) proud of you. When we oppose the war, it's the premise, the lies and the old bald white guys who started it.

The troops... we support you and we're proud of you.

I don't think you have to worry about NK's nuclear arsenal - the Japanese and South Koreans certainly do.
Kim is a crazy man.
He may just give away a nuke to a terrorist so he can bring it to the US...

unless he finishes up that missile he's working on that'll make to N.A. ....... then he can deliver them himself...

of course with our borders in the shape they are right now, its probably a lot easier and cheaper to bring it in that way.....

oh brother, Charlie Brown.
